The TROY University - Montgomery Campus Library strives to provide resources and services to meet the informational needs of both student and faculty. The library is open over 70 hours per week, and a professional librarian is on duty at all times to assist patrons with research and reference needs.
The library's collection includes monographs, serials, microfiche/microfilm material, audio
visual items, and computer software. Books and periodicals are housed on open shelves for easy access, but a valid TROY - Montgomery student and/or faculty ID is required for materials checkout. Library services include interlibrary loan, orientations for classes and/or individuals, photocopy facilities for print items and micro-material, a microcomputer lab, and an AV viewing room for in-house viewing of audio visual software. Electronic resources include a public access catalog and a growing collection of compact disk databases (CD-ROMs). Dialog computer searches are also offered.
The Air University Library, located on Maxwell Air Force Base, is one of the largest military libraries in the nation and may be used by military-related students. Civilian students who have classes on either Maxwell or Gunter may also use this library. Additional library materials are provided by the TROY Library and by other libraries within the state via the Network of Alabama Academic Libraries (NAAL) consortium.
