Americans with Disabilities ActTHE DISABILITY SERVICES PROGRAMThis office coordinates services and provides resources, which allow students with disabilities to function as independently as possible. These services offer the student with disabilities the opportunity to obtain a higher education, to greatly increase the probability of a higher income, the opportunity for a satisfying and productive career, and may allow for more fulfilling personal adventures in life. The Disability Services Program serves as the central point of contact for students with disabilities. This program seeks to ensure equal access for students while maintaining the academic integrity of the institution. All services for students with disabilities focus upon strengthening independence, responsibility, and self-advocacy, as well as, developing individualized accommodations and strategies for meeting the demands of TROY - Montgomery. Staff members of this office are experienced in assisting students with cognitive disorders such as learning disabilities and attention disorders, sensory disorders, physical disabilities, health-related disorders and psychiatric disorders.
