Scholarship Information

New Undergraduate Student Scholarship

Amount: The scholarship will cover the maximum cost of one three-hour course at the Troy University, Montgomery Campus and only apply to tuition.
Availability: Ten awards available for fall and are renewable for the spring providing the recipient maintains an overall 2.5 GPA.
Application Deadline: The deadline for scholarship applications is July 30.
Award Notification: The scholarship committee will notify selected students. If you are not notified by the start of the fall semester, you were not selected as a recipient.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be unconditionally admitted by July 30.
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on high school or college course work (a minimum of 12 transfer hours).
- Must submit a one-page typed essay indicating how the scholarship will help you achieve your career and educational goals.
- Must submit completed application by July 30.

Availability: Twenty awards beginning each fall and are renewable for the spring providing the recipient maintains an overall 2.5 GPA.

- Must have at least a minimum 3.0 GPA at Troy University, Montgomery Campus.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Returning graduate students must have an overall 3.5 GPA and have completed at least 9 semester hours of graduate courses at TROY University, Montgomery Campus.
- New graduate students must be unconditionally admitted to the graduate program by July 30 and have at least an overall 2.5 GPA on undergraduate work.
- Must submit a typed essay indicating your career and educational goals and how the scholarship will help you achieve your goals.
- Must submit completed application by July 30.
students in the M.S. Management (Applied Management and Public Management) Program do not qualify for this scholarship

Amount: The scholarship will cover the maximum cost of one three-hour course at the Troy University, Montgomery Campus and only apply to tuition (scholarship can not be applied to eCampus courses).
Availability: Three awards available for fall and spring semesters.
Criteria: The undergraduate student must have a 3.0 GPA at Troy University, Montgomery Campus; have earned 30 semester hours with 15 of the semester hours earned at Troy University, Montgomery Campus if applying as a transfer student.
Application Deadline: The deadline for scholarship applications is July 30 for the Fall Semester, and December 1 for the Spring Semester.

Amount: The scholarship pays for one course at TROY University-Montgomery Campus. If any other benefits are paying for tuition (i.e. Tuition Assistance) the scholarship can be used for a $150.00 book voucher at the University bookstore (no refund or credit allowed).

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be an Active Duty Airman (E-4 or below) and be permanently assigned to Maxwell-Gunter AFB or be a dependent child or spouse of said active duty Airman.
- Must have at least an overall 2.5 GPA on college courses for transfer or current TROY - Montgomery students.
- Must have at least an overall 2.5 GPA on high school courses if never attended college.
- Must be unconditionally admitted to Troy University, Montgomery Campus by the deadline.
- Must submit a typed essay indicating your career and educational goals and how the scholarship will help you achieve your goals.
- Must submit complete application by July 30.

Amount: $1000.00 (One-half of the scholarship award will be issued each semester).
Availability: One award to an undergraduate student beginning each fall semester and is renewable for the spring semester if student maintains a 3.0 GPA .
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be an undergraduate student with an overall 3.0 GPA .
- Incoming freshmen and transferring applicants must meet unconditional admission requirements at Troy University, Montgomery Campus by the start of the semester.
- Applicant cannot receive any other scholarships along with the "Jane and Ned Varner Memorial Scholarship".
- Must submit separately, in one page or less, an explanation of how the scholarship would benefit you and your future plans.
- Must submit completed application by July 30.
- Must express in writing their appreciation to the donor.

Amount: The scholarship will cover the maximum cost of one three-hour course at the Troy University, Montgomery Campus and only apply to tuition.
Availability: One Award beginning each fall and is renewable for spring semester providing the recipient maintains an overall 3.0GPA and enrolls for at least two courses.
Application Deadline: The deadline for scholarship applications is July 1.
Award Notification: The scholarship committee will notify selected students. If you are not notified by the start of the semester, you were not chosen.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a resident of Alabama.
- Must be unconditionally admitted to TROY University, Montgomery Campus.
- Must be a Junior or Senior.
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and earned at least 21 semester hours at TROY-Montgomery Campus.
- Must submit a typed essay indicating how this scholarship would benefit you and your future plans.
- Must submit complete application by July 1.
