What if the screen times out?

How does all this work, anyway? The system was originally set up to only handle logged-in users. So, a student, originally, was planned to have access only once an account was set up. However, the need for certain features... like the class search screen, was too great to wait for all the services to come online. So, to make up for the need to log in, officially, the system programmers set up an anonymous log-in so that even students... or perspective students... who did not have accounts could look up classes. However, the TSU system has many students worldwide, many who will need to check out potential classes. As such, there was a need to limit the amount of time a student could spend on the system.

We've all gotten online, then got called away. It's very easy to forget to log out or leave a web site. If there were no time-out in place, a small number of students could literally lock everyone else out without even meaning to do so (which is also a security concern). So, to prevent an unusually long access from locking up the system, the system times out after 15 minutes.

If that should happen, the following actions are recommended to continue:

(1) Click on Log Out in any screen's upper right corner...

(2) Which will take you to the screen below. Next, click on menu...

(3) Which takes you to the screen below. Click on the student accounts, and return to the Web Express Main Menu, where you'll start all over again.
