The Gene Elrod Success Center (GESC), located on the fifth floor of Whitley Hall in Room 500, is a well-planned and well developed learning environment that is designed to help students reach their academic goals. The GESC staff is dedicated to assisting students so that learning is attainable. Offered to students at no cost is tutoring in English, math, accounting, reading, and study skills; tutoring may be one-to-one sessions with subject area specialist, or students may receive instruction via computer tutorials, audio tapes, or videos. Other services offered to TROY - Montgomery students include career information and study skills workshops. The GESC also administers make-up and placement testing for the university. Because of limited space and staff, the testing schedule for the GESC is as follows:
* All tests must be returned to GESC office five (5) minutes before 8:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, and five (5) minutes before 12:00 noon on Friday. These testing schedule hours apply to regular term sessions. During the term break, the GESC gives placement tests from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the hour Monday through Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the hour on Friday.
