How often do I watch the class on
television?
Students watch an average of three
lessons each week. Most courses require a telecourse
guidebook and textbook to supplement the television lessons.
|
When do I have to come
to class on campus?
Television courses are designed to reduce
the amount of on-campus attendance, while offering the same
quality as traditional courses. Generally, students are required
to come to campus five times during the term
for an orientation session, two review sessions, and two exam
periods. Some instructors vary the requirements for on-campus
meetings.
During these sessions, students will have
contact with the instructor. Students are also encouraged to
contact the instructor by telephone during the
term.
What courses can I take
through televised lessons?
Approximately 30 television courses are
rotated throughout the academic year. Check the
Schedule of Classes for the current term’s
offerings, broadcast times, and meeting dates.

What is a Live-Into-Cable class?
In a Live-Into-Cable class, a Troy
University Montgomery instructor
teaches to one section of students on campus, while another
section of students view the class from home. Troy
University Montgomery
television studio/classroom enables faculty teaching on
campus to reach out simultaneously to students at home. |
