Dean's Welcome Welcome to the Troy University Montgomery Campus College of Education website! The Montgomery Campus is an urban evening university, dedicated to providing excellence in traditional and non-traditional educational opportunities for mature students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds. The mission of the Troy University College of Education is to prepare educators, counselors, administrators, and other professionals to be life-long innovative learners, who are informed, reflective decision makers effectively trained to achieve the goals, competencies, and skills identified by the accrediting and professional organizations for each program. The Montgomery Campus College of Education offers certification as well as non-certification degree options in counseling, psychology, and education. The education certification programs are approved by the Alabama State Board of Education and accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The counseling programs follow state and national licensing/certifying boards and are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and the Council on Rehabilitation Counseling (CORE). The outstanding faculty for the counseling, psychology, and education programs are highly recognized in their fields of study. Many hold leadership roles in the counseling, psychology, and education professional associations at the state, regional, and national levels. All College of Education faculty are actively engaged in scholarship, research, the use of technology in teaching and learning, and advising students. Please take time and explore the information on the website about the 12 counseling, psychology, and education programs offered at the Montgomery Campus. We applaud your interest in continuing your education and look forward to you joining us. Dr. Pamela G. Arrington, Associate Dean and Professor, College of Education
