Graduate Admission Requirements
A. Unconditional Admission:
Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.
A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited four-year
institution.
An overall GPA of 2.5/4.0 or a 3.0/4.0 on the last
27 SH (45 QH) of
undergraduate work.

A test score of 385 or higher on the MAT or a 850 or higher combined score
on the GRE.

B. Conditional Admission:
Under certain circumstances students may be admitted on a conditional
basis. Contact an advisor for specific policies.
C. All Ed.S Students are required to meet the
following minimum requirements for admission:

A master's degree and equivalent required
courses in counseling (agency or school).

One of the following minimum scores: 385 on
MAT or 850 combined score on GRE.
Requirements for Admission to Candidacy
Unconditionally admitted graduate degree students will
be admitted to candidacy for the degree upon completion of the requirements as outlined
for each degree program.
The
student must be admitted to candidacy for the degree one semester
prior to the anticipated semester of degree completion.
The student will be admitted to candidacy when he/she
has fulfilled the following requirements:
- Earned an overall GPA of at least a 3.0.
- Completed 6
semester hours with
Troy University, Montgomery Campus.
