Department of English
Degrees Offered
We staff a variety of general studies courses, including not only English, but art, music, speech, philosophy, reading, religion, and freshman orientation (Troy 1101) as well. We also offer an English major with two tracks: a traditional option focusing on literary history and analysis, and a
Professional Writing emphasis
for students interested in careers in technical writing. Additionally, our faculty services those undergraduates seeking a minor in English. Finally, we work, too, with the graduate students, offering a rage of 5000- and 6000-level courses for those pursuing degrees in Education.
